Day 1

Dragon's Teeth hike and camping

Leave Nairobi early, hike through alpine moorlands, giant lobelias, dramatic rock formations, and panoramic Aberdare views before camping.

Day 2

Explore Aberdare National Park

Visit Karuru Falls, Gura Falls, Chania Falls, bamboo forest, wildlife areas, and photography stops before a second camping night.

Day 3

Slow morning and return

Wake slowly, take breakfast, pack camp, enjoy an optional short nature walk, stop at Nyahururu for lunch, and return to Nairobi.

Dragon's Teeth Hike & Camping

Arrive at the trailhead.

Begin the hike to Dragon's Teeth through alpine moorlands, giant lobelias, stunning rock formations, panoramic views, and plenty of photo and video opportunities.

Lunch at the summit or viewpoint.

Begin descent.

Drive to the campsite.

Day 2 | Saturday, 29th August

Explore Aberdare National Park

Morning

Wake up to the sounds of the forest and prepare for a full Aberdares exploration day.

Destinations

Karuru Falls, Gura Falls, Chania Falls, bamboo forest, wildlife viewing areas, and scenic photography stops.

Wildlife

Possible sightings include elephants, buffalo, giant forest hogs, bushbucks, hyenas, colobus monkeys, warthogs, and if lucky, lion or leopard.

Afternoon

Picnic lunch, photography session, nature walks, and sunset game drive.

Evening

Campfire stories, dinner, and second night camping.

Day 3 | Sunday, 30th August

Slow morning and return to Nairobi

Morning

Wake up slowly, take tea or coffee, have breakfast, and pack camp.

Depart Aberdares and stop at Nyahururu for lunch.
